Our 10" carbon steel frying pan with flared sides is hand forged with a pre-seasoned surface used for searing and sauteing, as well as cooking fish and eggs.

Pans are measured according to the diameter of the lip, not the diameter of the cooking surface. And all carbon steel pans are great for searing, caramelizing, and baking - plus, you can learn to cook delicate foods like fish and eggs with no sticking. They’re iron pans, forged rather than cast, which makes them lighter and easier to handle, and quicker to season.

What's the difference between our frying pans and a sauté pan?

The frying pan has flared walls, easy to scoop and flip food, or use the quintessential tossing hand technique to flip the food. While it has less of a cooking area, it is lighter weight and sears food more efficiently. A sauté pan, on the other hand, is better for larger volume of food, for sauces and shallow frying, and requires a helper handle. Oddly, the traditional sauté pan is not good for sautéing--that is what this frying pan is perfect for!

They can take high temperatures and they can go from stove top, to oven, to table.

Requires only a light seasoning out of the box. Handle stays comfortable with most cooking.
