When Erik started making hand hammered woks, he had no one to turn to for mentoring. It was through Grace Young's book, The Breath of the Wok, that he learned how to make his woks more functional. Photographs and stories of the Cen brothers in China working on their own hand hammered woks were inspiring. The cookbooks are rich with stories while exploring the culture and beauty of Asian cuisines.
